Soft Proofs

 

One of the bonuses of placing your job with Europa is that you automatically get free use of our highly developed artwork processing website. This is www.uploadfiles.co.uk.

 

You will use www.uploadfiles.co.uk to upload your files directly from your desktop without requiring any specialist software. A username and password will be given to you on request.

 

The proofing process is also carried out via www.uploadfiles.co.uk.

 

In the modern printing process 99% of all proofs are signed off under the "soft" proofing method.

 

Soft proofing involves sending a low resolution PDF proof over the internet via www.uploadfiles.co.uk for you to check content and layout etc and sign off your job. Print quality issues should have been dealt with by the originator of the artwork before submitting files to us.

 

Resolution of images/fonts/pictures will print exactly as the quality you provided in your original artwork. The key to quality printing is to check your original artwork for quality issues and the soft PDF for content issues.

 

Hard Copy Proofs

 

Where hard copy proofs are requested there will be an extra charge unless this has already been discussed and included in the quotation received.

 

Please note that the necessity for hard copy proofs will add several days to the production process.

 

The cost of any additional or unquoted hard copy proofs will be quoted on an as and when basis.
